Time is continuous, therefore, so is growth. Life has a way of making you shed your shell whether you're ready or not. Heart break happens, loved ones leave, old friends betray you, and somehow deep within you have to find the strength to not only get up, but learn a lesson.
One thing I am sure of is that God has a masterplan because in Jeremiah 1:5 he says " Before I formed you in your mother's womb I knew you. And, before you were born I set you apart." That translates to me that God see's me. He knows the path that I am on and when He is ready he will place something on my spirit that I cannot avoid.
If you're picked reading this you have a willingness to want to be better, to be more for some reason. Please know that isn't by accident. The time is now for you to leave the things behind you that no longer serve where you are going.
Make the decision to leave all your cares in God's and watch him shake up things in your life.
From experience I know that once my heart decided to follow christ there was no more room for who I used to be. I put down my childish ways and picked up the armor of God. And from that day, I began to see things change in my life. Friends pealed away, drugs were a things of the past, partying was not a form of entertainment.
The road is not easy, in fact it's hard. You are evolving and the old you cannot fit in the new you's mindset. Take a second to think about who you were before this journey. Do you do the same activities you used to? Do you have the same friends? Where else in your life do you feel needs growth?
